Informational forum on sex offender notification set
for June 11
WARWICK – The Warwick Police Department, in cooperation with the other law enforcement agencies, will hold an informational forum on community notification of sex offenders on Wednesday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Lippitt Elementary School, 30 Almy Street.
The forum, which was planned at the request of Ward Three Councilwoman Helen Taylor, will include presentations by Warwick Police Colonel Stephen McCartney and Captain Sean Collins, head of the Community Policing Division; Paula Kocan of the Attorney General’s Office of Sex Offender Community Notification bureau; and Christine Imbriglio from the Kent County Probation Office.
The evening’s agenda includes a power point presentation followed by a question and answer period.
Residents in the Lippitt and St. Rose of Lima school areas will be notified; however, the forum is open to all interested citizens.
